Workshop in DüsseldorfThis workshop will focus on creating and exploring sonic environments using Max/MSP, sensors and amplification equipment. We will be focussing on producing new sonic works that challenge the performative and compositional assumptions of 'traditional' linear music -- for example sound sculptures or site specific audio works using wind or sun. Drawing on the work of artists such as Max Eastley, David Tudor, Andy Goldsworthy, Tristan Perich (One-bit Symphony), Zimoun & John Wynne, the workshop will be a collaborative, participant-led experience. Possibilities include developing interior and exterior works, combining natural elements (input from sunlight, wind power, etc), found objects, feedback, tactile interaction, analogue electronics and digital programming.
