The base2 collaboration uses radio-astronomy sounds (pulsar and nebulae) in sonic compositions. The project connects noise and ideas; interstellar space becomes music/sonic space; cosmic distance becomes internet immediacy.

Players with circuits

The piece is for four players; two of whom play amplified string instruments (in this case koto and electric bass), and two others operating electronics (an audio oscillator, tone controls, ring modulator and pre-amplifier).
